We are on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico, in a great Maya city that flourished from around 600 to 1200 CE. We will climb toward the pyramid of Kukulcán, listen in the great ball court, look at its carvings, and stand at the edge of the sacred cenote that gave the city its name.
