You are standing on the rim of a volcano. About 3,600 years ago an enormous eruption collapsed the center of this Greek island, and the sea rushed in. We will look into the caldera, see how villages cling to the cliff, visit a town buried in ash, and meet vines woven into baskets against the wind.
